Sometimes we don't know that there are angels, dharma guards, or divine beings from above. They are not God Almighty, but they are other divine beings. For example, First or Second Level beings help us all the time. Many times we don't know. Because if they didn't help, then we could be in an accident, or robbed, or burglarized and could not get our things back, or somebody would have harmed us, things like that. Thanks to those beings' protection, things like that did not happen to us. We aren't even aware. Sometimes things happened to us halfway, and if somebody could see, we would say that perhaps the angels protected us. But sometimes they stopped it before it happened, so we didn't have any accident. Then we wouldn't even know.
Even if we don't know, every day we still need to thank the ones protecting us. When you eat, you have to thank them for their blessing so the food is tasty, good for your health. "Thank you for protecting me today." Thank them every day. Even if you don't know, just thank them. Because often they helped, and we weren't aware of it. They don't write it down and wait for our certificate of recognition. After finishing their task, they disappeared right away. Just like that lady. Because that old lady did not want you to have any attachment toward her. She wants you to go up further, instead of liking her too much that you just want to sit there with her or keep thinking about her and can't go up.
