Of course, it’s not spiritual. If the money is spent on spiritual, of course, it lasts longer and helps people’s souls. But what do you do with spiritual when people have already died? You can’t initiate them. Right? So, the people’s lives are more precious than our inconvenience. Therefore, I know you understand and forgive me. But I’ll try to give you. (Because You teach us to love everybody as we love ourselves.) It’s true, also. I think if there’s an immediate need, we pay more attention.
This movie star, she’s famous all over the world – not movie star, opera star. It’s even difficult, more difficult to be an opera star. You know why? Because you have to sing right there, and you can’t change your notes and you can’t cut your video. You can’t cut your film, and you can’t redo it. And you have to sing without a microphone. On top of hundreds of orchestra musicians, it makes so much loud noise, you have to sing all on top of that, and to the thousands of people who sit very far away from you, so that they can hear you and understand. Well, I didn’t. I didn’t understand what they sang. Sometimes, when she sings in simple German, I understand. But when she sings with the... “Oh, what do you want?” I don’t know what she’s talking about. She sang in German. And it was translated into English.
But I just had an operation, and I tended to doze, so I kept looking like this, and then I was gone. And so, I think I have to go back and see you again because... (Please.) ...I did not understand half of what you sang the other day. I fainted or was asleep. I couldn’t keep up. Somehow, I was so, so, so exhausted. It must be the drug (medicine). Forgive me. If you saw me like that, please don’t think that you are boring or anything. I don’t think I was bored. I just was too tired to keep up. Normally I like that. I used to go to see the opera, orchestra, and all. I love these things. I still do, but since I became a teacher, I don’t have a chance to see it anymore. Anyhow, so she’s the best soprano singer in the world. You heard her voice, huh? It’s tremendous, electrifying. She doesn’t need a microphone. You know. Did you see her? Did you see her, honey? This is the daughter. It’s alright. It’s OK, honey. It’s OK. She’s the superstar’s daughter. And she flew – she’s 12 years old, just now, 12 years old – flew all the way from New York alone to come here just for the initiation today. So, I feel rewarded with such a beautiful story. If you didn’t tell me, I probably wouldn’t know. So next time, please, inform me more of your events and of our beautiful people. Such a young soul! When I was 12, I could never be so clever. I couldn’t fly alone all [the way] from New York, just to come here just to see a “strange” Master, that she has never seen in her life. She only saw videos or books, or probably some tapes, pictures, that’s all. And then she wanted initiation.
I asked her today specifically, “Did you want initiation yourself or your mother forced you or influenced you?” She said, “No, no, I want it.” Is that right, honey? Yes, good. So, you see, the soul is all super intelligent. The younger we are, I think, the more intelligent we are. As we get older, we accumulate more habits and many other anxieties and worries, and we forget how great we are. And we forget the essential things. I just want to tell you about this girl because I’m very touched. I nearly cried when I heard that. Just one of those things. Just 12 years old and she flew all the way from New York, last night alone, after she finished school even, because she can’t go on weekdays. She came yesterday, Saturday night, right? Oh, no, (Friday.) Friday night. At night, she flew alone. And her mother went to pick her up in a taxi. That’s how we met this beautiful, black beauty over there.
Now, I also have to tell you some more stories that reveal my shortcomings. For example, she came, and she waited for me at the party last night. We made a small dinner, vegan party for me? And then she came there and waited for me, not to eat, but to see me before she went to the airport because it was still early. So, I saw her there, and I said, “Oh, what are you doing...?” And she said she’s going to pick up her daughter at the airport because she’s coming from New York for initiation today. I said, “Somebody will take you?” She said, “No, I’m going by taxi.” I was feeling sorry because she’s a lone woman. I didn’t know he was a good guy. No, I didn’t know you at that time. I said, “Well, why do you have to go by taxi? We have so many drivers here, many disciples.” So, I told my driver, the one who’s supposed to drive my car, I said, “You take her to the airport. I feel safer and better. Or, it’s also, it’s more a way of love.” “Why do you have to go by taxi when we all have cars here?” So, I said, “It’s not the way of love.”
So, I apologized to him. The first time I met him, I said, “I’m sorry, honey. She’s my ‘daughter’, and I feel I’m more obliged to let my ‘son’ take her to the airport instead of just any taxi driver. So, if you don’t mind, we just pay you the extra hour, and then you’re OK…” He said, “No, it’s OK.” So, I felt bad for him. I felt bad for him, losing his business. Well, I thought he might feel bad, so I said, “If you feel bored, we are having dinner upstairs. You come up and have dinner.” Just to make up for his lost business. Anyhow, then he went for dinner, and he had the first vegan meal of his life. And today he sits here. It’s cute.
Your friend. Tommy, yes. And I thought after he ate the first spoonful of vegan, he must spit it out and say, “Yuck, what’s this? You tricked me into this. This is called dinner?” But then he ate everything, and he ate the portion of Tommy’s as well. He ate both. I was worried that he’s not used to the vegan diet because he’s a big guy. He is an ex-football player. Who did you play for? It was a famous team, wasn’t it? (Yes, St. Louis Cardinals.) St… You tell it. (St. Louis, St. Louis Cardinals.) Is that big? (Football player.)
