Previously, in Part 1 of 3 of Steve Boyls’ near-death experience, Steve was placed into a medically-induced coma after becoming critically ill with COVID, while Kathy prayed daily over him from home. Steve says his guardian angel, Marzuka, appeared at his bedside, led him out of his body and into Heaven, where he arrived at a welcome center and was reunited with his former dog companions and several loved ones who had passed away.
As Steve and Marzuka walked across a field, someone unexpected suddenly ran up to him. Before we had our second girl, Kathy had a miscarriage. She thought it was going to be a little boy, and she wanted to name him Daniel. Well, I really hadn’t thought anything about that for 20 years, 25 years, however long it was. And this little boy runs up to me, and he goes, “Hi, my name’s Daniel. I think you’re my dad.” And I said, “Well, my wife was going to have a little baby, and she wasn’t able to have him, and we were going to name him Daniel.” And he goes, “I’ve been here since I was very little, and I was brought up in this place with a bunch of other little babies.” And it was just like I could look at him, and I could see me in him, and I could see Kathy in him. So I just thought, “Oh, this is Daniel. This is the boy I always wanted to have.”
I was only about four or five weeks pregnant when I miscarried. So there was no way to tell whether it was really a boy or a girl, but I always felt like it was a boy. So I named him. And when Steve told me that, I couldn’t believe it. I mean, I was like, “What? What?” And so I made him tell me over and over and over again because it was so wonderful and so comforting to know that our son is in Heaven. And so all I can say is that if you’ve ever had a miscarriage, ever had something that you had lost a baby, however you did lose the baby, that baby’s going to be there. That baby is there, waiting for you, hoping to see you there.
Marzuka, Steve learned, had been his guardian angel since birth — which explained how the angel knew to offer Steve his two favorite foods: a copper-colored fruit the size of a softball that tasted far superior to any apple on Earth and gave him renewed energy, and what Steve can only describe as a homemade vanilla ice cream cone that never melted. “Man, this is great. I love vanilla,” Steve told him. Marzuka replied, “Yeah, I know” — because, as he explained, he had been with Steve everywhere, his whole life, and knew everything about him.
Steve and Marzuka also visited a magnificent baseball stadium with his brother and young Daniel, where the laws of physics did not apply — pitchers could throw in corkscrew patterns, bases were made of gold, dirt slid off uniforms without leaving stains, and players wore no protective gear because no one could be hurt. The scoreboard displayed numbers floating in mid-air beyond the outfield fence. After the game, a laser-like light show filled the sky. It was comforting to see my brother because I missed him so much. I’m going to see him again. That’s even the more comforting thing about the whole thing, is I will see him again. And I’ll see my parents again. And those people are there.
Steve was also taken to see thousands upon thousands of white horses in what appeared to be military maneuvers — something that would only make sense later. He was then escorted into the throne room. In front, there was a stage, and the stage had, like, seven steps leading up to it, and behind the stage, there was a rainbow, there was thunder and lightning, but it wasn’t scary. It was just power. And I saw God the Father sitting on the throne, and Jesus was sitting on the throne next to Him. Now, the image of God the Father was just nothing but bright Light. I couldn’t make out any features, but it was Light, and it was a bright Light, but it was a comforting Light. You could look at it and it wouldn’t hurt your eyes. And that Light is the Light of Heaven. It filled all of Heaven. There’s, like, no shadows in Heaven. But Jesus came down from the throne. Marzuka, my angel, knelt down on one knee, put his head down, and then put his hand on my back and pushed me forward. And I was kind of wondering what was going on, but I walked forward. I never felt like I needed to bow down, lay on the ground, and beg for mercy or anything like that because the Bible says that we can go boldly into the throne room. And so, I felt welcome. I felt love and compassion, and I just felt so many things, comfort, protection.
And Jesus comes down to me. He showed me a couple of pictures of myself, and both of them were me laying on the ground. One of them was kind of a grayscale picture. I didn’t look very good. And He said, “This is you, but you’re going to be just fine.” And then He showed me another picture, which was a full color picture. And He said, “This is you too, but you’re going to be just fine because you’re healed by My blood and My righteousness.” And so He gave me a big hug. I told Him I loved Him. He told me He loved me. And it was not a wispy type of feeling. It was a solid, solid touch. I can still feel His touch hugging me, which that gives me a lot of comfort, too. And, He stepped back. He put his hands on my shoulders and looked right at me. And He says, “You saw my war horses. They’re preparing for battle.” And I said, “Well, Lord, when’s this going to happen?” He just said, “Very soon.”
Steve’s return from Heaven would lead to an even deeper struggle on Earth. In Part 3, he shares what happened after he woke, the terrifying battle that nearly killed him, and the words he believes Jesus spoke that carried him through. Out of the clear blue, I heard this most distinct voice talk to me. And it said, “Keep your eye on Me.” And I know that was Jesus talking to me. Join us tomorrow for Part 3 of 3 of Steve Boyls’ near-death experience. (Shaun Tabatt)
