“On the bottom level was let’s say thousands of beings—I’ll say beings, I don’t necessarily say human, but beings. Then on the second level was a large golden portal rectangle-shaped. And then on the third and the higher level it looked like the Greek Parthenon, marble but glittering with jewels.” American dockworker Rodney Reeder shares how he died for thirty minutes after falling 25 feet [7.6 meters] onto a steel barge and was taken through a gorgeous realm, met seven light beings, and was sent back through a rainbow vortex.
In July 2017, Rodney was loading 50-ton steel pilings on a barge south of Seattle [US] when another vessel struck. The impact threw him from a steel ladder, and he fell face-first onto the barge below. He was killed instantly. Coworkers moved his body but never called an ambulance, not realizing he would soon revive. During that half hour, Rodney had what he believes was a journey beyond death. He first found himself in a dark but peaceful void. “Everything slowed down. I had gone at that time into what people call ‘the void.’ I was in complete darkness. It was comfort. There was no concern. There was nothing of worry about death or anything. I was just comfortable, all warm and cozy in that nice blanket of darkness.” Then a flash of light opened into a path on the side of a mountain, leading Rodney into an otherworldly valley. Below him, he saw three vast levels populated with countless beings and immense structures.
“Down below was three levels. On the bottom level was let’s say thousands of beings— I’ll say beings, I don’t necessarily say human, but beings. Then on the second level was a large golden portal rectangle-shaped. And then on the third and the higher level was a jeweled marbled hall. It looked like the Greek Parthenon, marble but glittering with jewels.”
Rodney then glided effortlessly into a living, conscious field of grass that radiated love into him. “The grass was like recharging me with the love coming from it. I was literally looking into the grass at a microcellular level. You could see the cells moving around inside the grass. The Light was like a liquid love— it like coated me, you actually could feel texture.”
As Rodney rested, a silver mist approached— and from it emerged seven towering light beings. “And then I started to feel— and again, time was no essence— but I felt that I shouldn’t be here. You know— something’s not right. But I’ve never felt this absolute sheer bliss. I mean, it was beyond bliss. But this silver mist started coming through the grass. Seven light beings came out and surrounded me. They were the brightest bluish white light that I’ve ever seen. If anyone has seen the movie “The Knowing,” that’s the closest way I can describe them. They were seven plus foot [2.1 meters tall].” After communicating with him telepathically for what felt a long time, the beings placed Rodney into a narrow, tube-like vortex and sent him downward through a rainbow tunnel. “And I kept going down, down… and I could still see the beings, especially there was one taller one was looking straight at me. And you could almost feel the love that it was still sending out to me. And I was crying because I was like almost going, ‘I left this place you know of perfection and bliss.’ I’m going, ‘No, no, no,’ as I’m going down. And I don’t know how long I traveled, but it was a long time.”
The journey back was agonizing. Awareness of his body returned with crushing pain. “Then the pain started to come in. Oh my goodness, the pain— oh, excruciating! Imagine every single tooth in your mouth going off with the worst toothache you’ve ever had. And then all of a sudden, I was slammed into my meat sack body.” Rodney opened his eyes to coworkers screaming that he was alive. They had transported his limp body with no medical aid, assuming he was dead. At the hospital, doctors discovered three-quarters of Rodney’s face was broken and he had a brain bleed. Yet his pain levels were strangely low. “They were amazed that I was taking one-third of the normal painkiller. How do you tell them that I was still connected to that love on the other side? That was what was holding off the pain.”
Re-entering his body felt like a forced fusion, and the aftereffects of the love he felt remained strong. “But that love was still attached to me. It connects to your heart. You know that you’re being protected and you’re guided and all those energies that were happening on the other side, you’re still feeling the connection.” Even years later, Rodney says the love he experienced—“liquid,” overwhelming, and conscious— continues to shape his life, and inspired him to study the teachings of the Venerated Enlightened Ascended Master Saint Germain (vegetarian) “And then also with the Ascended Masters, there are other beings out there that, you know, I may have experienced or talked with. When you start to put your attention on the Divine, things start happening more, and we become more of the God-beings that we are.” (NDE Diary)
