Get the most out of your technology by developing smart habits. Here’s a helpful tip to keep your phone’s battery in good shape. Charging your mobile the wrong way can shorten its battery life and even cause it to overheat or damage internal components. Common mistakes include charging before the battery is low, using your phone while it’s charging, especially for gaming or videos, and using non-original chargers. Charging overnight is another problem, as it keeps the battery at 100% for too long. To keep your phone’s battery healthy, try to keep it between 20% and 80%. Use Battery Saver mode when power is low, especially on Android devices. Keep your phone away from extreme heat or cold. If it has an OLED or AMOLED screen, enable Dark Mode to reduce power use. Finally, to avoid power surges, always plug the charger into the wall first, then into your phone.
